Atlantic travelled to Wey Valley in a pre cup warm up fixture. The team that made it all the
way to the quarter final last year has been strengthened this season with some new
additions who have joined, however due to injury these players are yet to debut for Atlantic.
Atlantic opted to kick off but were quickly put under pressure by the hosts as they scored an early goal. The first half continued to be a struggle for the visitors as the goals continued to fly past the keeper. At half time Atlantic found themselves 6-1 down and staring at a big defeat early in the season. The second half proved to be much more of a success for the visitors as they started positively and scored the first 4 goals to take it to 6-5. Wey Valley used their subs well and pulled it back to a two goal lead, however Atlantic continued to press and eventually ended the game 8-7.
