Examinations are a critical time for all students. As parents/carers, you have a key role in ensuring that they are well organised and prepared. Please be aware of the following key information and policies. Please keep referring back to this page as it will evolve over time.
PUBLIC EXAMINATIONS 2025-2026
- Summer Exams: 27/4/26 – 25/6/26
- Summer 2026 Exam Timetable GCSE
- Contingency Day: The exam boards have designated the morning and afternoon sessions of Wednesday 24th June 2026 as contingency sessions. All candidates sitting exams should be available up to and including this day in case of significant disruption to the exam schedule and the need to reschedule an exam.
- Results Days: GCSE exam results are released on Thursday 20th August 2026. Students can collect their exam results from the Hub. If a student would like a family member to collect them on their behalf, then they should email Miss Biddle, Exams Officer (abiddle@atlantic-aspirations.org). Members of staff will be on hand to provide information, advice and guidance.
MOCK EXAMINATIONS 2025-2026
Mock exams are really important for both students and teachers. They will identify strengths and areas to develop, which will be used to plan future lessons and interventions, to support your child to fulfil their potential in their GCSE and A Level exams. Exams can be a challenging part of school life for both children and parents. But there are ways to ease the stress. The NHS have compiled information, advice and guidance to support everyone.
EXAMS HANDBOOK FOR STUDENTS, PARENTS AND CARERS
Our Exams Handbook has been created to provide important and helpful information for you and your parents/carers. Please read it carefully and thoroughly. Show it to your parents/carers so they are also aware of the examination regulations and procedures to follow in the event of any problems occurring. Please keep this somewhere safe so it can be referred to during the course of the year. The awarding bodies (examination boards) set strict criteria, which must be followed for the conduct of examinations. Budmouth Academy is required to follow these instructions precisely.
If you are unsure about anything, or would like to find out more, please email our Examinations Officer, Miss Biddle:

replacement certificates
The Exam Boards will no longer provide copies of certificates that have been lost, or never claimed. However, you can apply for a Certified Statement of Results, which can be used in the same way as a certificate. All Boards charge a fee for this service.
The school changes specifications frequently, therefore, we may not be able to tell you which exam board we used for a particular subject in the past.
If you were at school before 2000 the Boards that awarded your qualifications may no longer exist as separate bodies. The GOV.UK website provides advice on where to make enquiries if this is the case.
You will have to fill in a form for each Board. These can be found on their websites:
