Safeguarding, eSafety and Student Welfare

The Academy takes the welfare and safety of students very seriously, working hard to reduce all the kinds of harm that children can suffer, including abuse, bullying, discrimination and avoidable injuries. We strive to make sure that every student in the Academy feels secure, well cared for, and able to reach their full potential.

The Academy understands and is committed to the vital contribution that all governors, staff, parents and students can make to safeguarding children. All our staff are regularly and thoroughly trained in identifying, dealing with and reporting any safeguarding concerns.

Working together

We will continue to ensure that all our staff, parents or carers and students work together to know the rules about keeping children safe. They will understand the importance of following procedures and listening to each other, especially when there are concerns about safety.

  • Our procedures comply with the letter and the spirit of guidance, regulation and best practice.
  • Our safeguarding policy, which contains further details, can be found here

Email contacts are available below but if you have any concerns at all about the safety or welfare of a child, please make immediate contact by telephone on 01305 820262 and be sure to make it clear that there may be a safeguarding issue. Student welfare

The Academy has a range of policies and procedures in place that ensure the welfare of all of our students.

Several of these policies set out expectations about behaviour. This includes good learning behaviour around the Academy and in lessons as well as rules about how to communicate and behave appropriately towards other students and staff. This ensures everyone feels safe and can learn.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding the welfare of your son or daughter, we suggest that you contact your child’s faculty director in the first instance, they can be contacted here. If you would like to talk to another member of the staff, please contact atlanticoffice@atlantic-aspirations.org, or use the contact us form which can be found here
